What Is SPLA?
Founded in 2007, SPLA revolutionized music education in Los Angeles by pioneering a bowed string program encompassing genres from Hip Hop to Jazz, Latin to Rock, and more through collaborations with local organizations. Although we started with 2 phsical locations in Los Angeles, we are now A virtual academy, pushing string playing into a new era globally through online outreach, ambassadorship, and pop-up events like concerts, clinics, and the annual LA Creative String Festival.
How Do I Get Involved?
In 2023, SPLA became a fiscally sponsored 501(c)3 through Fractured Atlas.
